If a foreign friend is coming to visit my campus, I would like to take him to our lake—the Mirror Lake.

The Mirror Lake is popular among the students for its clear water. Throwing rubbish into the lake is prohibited, and there are many kinds of fish living in the lake. Besides, a lot of trees and flowers are planted around the lake, so it is such a pleasure to take a walk here. Students often come here to practice their oral English, take a nap or just watch the beautiful scenery. And wild animals also visit there, like squirrels, cuckoos, and swans. Lastly, it is a very quiet place. In contrast to the noisy streets outside the campus, this place is somewhat like a secluded heaven. If anyone feels unhappy or nervous, he can come here to seek comfort.

The lake is very different from any other lakes, and I’m sure my foreign friend would like it.
