As is illustrated in this picture, it is hard for modern people to get a large amount of useful information even though there emerges an explosive growth of information technology. For instance, when we start a research, it’s easy to acquire a wealth of information by virtue of information technology. However, only a tiny proportion of it is helpful.
Personally, there are two reasons for that. Firstly, there are so many ways to get access to information, among which useless information and other distractions unrelated to the subjects you search accounts for a large proportion. Secondly, people will be overwhelmed with false and misleading information which consume our energy a lot.
To resolve the problem, first of all I suggest that we narrow down the search scope. Only if we focus on reliable and effective media, can we filter out invalid information. Then we should analyze the information wisely to effectively and efficiently get what we really need. Last but not least, our government and relevant departments should make policies to regulate the sources and routes of transmission of the misleading and false information.
