When we are doing a research, a flood of misleading information are likely to be the first killer of our patience, efforts, time and the useful information.

Specifically, misleading information does do harm to us in two aspects in my opinion. First, we fail to finish our work on time because of explosive misleading information, which could distract our attention from our top priority. This could lead to many delays and gradually lays a burden to our work and life. Second, misleading information distort the truth, and various media will take the free rider, which lay a worse effect on public opinion .

To resolve this problem, we should take a series of effective measures to restrain the source and route of transmission. First of all, we narrow down the search scope to filter out invalid information and focus on several effective reliable search engines, websites or media. Second, we should analyze what we get online to get what we really need.
